AMBLER - The Arcadia University baseball team topped King's College 9-5 to open its Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) series at Skip Wilson Field on Friday afternoon.
FOR THE RECORD
-Arcadia improved to 23-10 overall and 11-4 in MAC Freedom play.
-King's fell to 9-19 and 4-11.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-King's opened the scoring with a run in the top of the first.
-
Gabe Diaz tied the score with an RBI single in the bottom of the second that brought home
Tommy Ajjan.
-Ajjan homered to open the bottom of the fourth giving the Knights the lead.
-Diaz followed with an groundout that scored
Solomon Griffith.

Justin Massielo pushed the lead to 4-1 with a sacrifice fly in the fifth that brought in
Matthew Sot.

Kevin Wheeler, Sot, and Massielo all brought runs in in the sixth to push the lead to 7-1.
-After the Monarchs cut the lead to 7-4,
Anthony Bruno brought home Noah Stenett with a single and scored later in the eighth on a balk.

Will Conroy earned the win, allowing one run on five hits with three walks and four strikeouts across six innings.

Jack Dovidio earned his first save after entering the ninth with the tying run on deck.
