AMBLER - The Arcadia University baseball team topped King's College 9-5 to open its Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) series at Skip Wilson Field on Friday afternoon.

FOR THE RECORD
-Arcadia improved to 23-10 overall and 11-4 in MAC Freedom play.

-King's fell to 9-19 and 4-11.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-King's opened the scoring with a run in the top of the first.

-Gabe Diaz tied the score with an RBI single in the bottom of the second that brought home Tommy Ajjan.

-Ajjan homered to open the bottom of the fourth giving the Knights the lead.

-Diaz followed with an groundout that scored Solomon Griffith.

-Justin Massielo pushed the lead to 4-1 with a sacrifice fly in the fifth that brought in Matthew Sot.

-Kevin Wheeler, Sot, and Massielo all brought runs in in the sixth to push the lead to 7-1.

-After the Monarchs cut the lead to 7-4, Anthony Bruno brought home Noah Stenett with a single and scored later in the eighth on a balk.

-Will Conroy earned the win, allowing one run on five hits with three walks and four strikeouts across six innings.

-Jack Dovidio earned his first save after entering the ninth with the tying run on deck.
