Matt Milich Named Associate Director of Athletic Communications

GLENSIDE - The Arcadia University Department of Athletics and Recreation has announced the hiring of Matt Milich as the Associate Director of Athletic Communications. Milich will begin his duties at Arcadia on Monday, August 18th.

""I am honored to accept the role of Associate Director of Athletic Communications at Arcadia University," Milich said. "I am excited to join a department with such a strong tradition of excellence and am looking forward to contributing to the success of Arcadia's student-athletes and athletic programs."

Milich comes to Arcadia after most recently serving as the Associate Athletic Director and Athletic Communication Director at Shenandoah University. While with the Hornets, Milich was responsible for overseeing media coverage for all 22 of Shenandoah's sports. Milich also had sport oversight responsibilities for a handful of programs in addition to his communications responsibilities.

"We are thrilled to welcome someone with Matt's level of experience to Arcadia," said Director of Athletic Communications Adam Planamento '12. "Throughout the hiring process Matt's dedication to promoting the achievements of student-athletes was obvious, and we are confident he will continue to push our level of excellence in promoting and serving Arcadia's student-athletes to Knights fans everywhere."

Prior to his time at Shenandoah, Milich served as Assistant AD/Sports Information Director at Cabrini University and Interim Director of Athletics and Associate AD/Director of Game Day Operations at Cairn University.

"I want to thank Adam Planamento, Associate Vice President of Athletics Brian Granata, and the entire search committee for this opportunity," Milich added.

Milich graduated from Cairn in 2006 with a degree in Church Ministries, and earned an M.B.A. in Sports Management from Columbia Southern in 2012.
