WESTBURY, N.Y. – The Arcadia University men's golf team opened its fall 2025 schedule at the George Cangero Invitational, hosted by Farmingdale State University at Eisenhower Park's White Course, which played as a par-72, 6,932-yard layout. The event was scheduled for two rounds, but after round one was delayed by rain and suspended due to darkness, play resumed Sunday morning. The second round was ultimately canceled because of weather. The Knights finished 10th out of 11 teams with a score of 319 (+31).
Sophomore Matteo Patitucci led the way for Arcadia, carding a 75 (+3) to finish in a tie for 17th place. Patitucci opened with a 40 (+4) on the front nine, taking advantage of both par 5s with birdies. He then fired a 35 (-1) on the back nine, highlighted by birdies on holes 14, 15, and 18.
Frankie Sass was the Knights' second finisher, posting a 78 (+6) to tie for 32nd place. Sass started with three straight pars and added a birdie on the fourth hole. On the back nine, he collected his second birdie of the round on the 10th hole and closed with five consecutive pars, recording a 38-40 split.
Nicky Antonelli and Tony Antonelli rounded out the team scoring with matching 83s (+11), good for a tie for 49th place. Nicky shot 45-38, securing his lone birdie on the 10th hole while adding a stretch of four straight pars from holes 13–16. Tony went 40-43, recording 11 pars on the day.
First-year Justin Madden made his collegiate debut with a 93 (+21), recording a 43-50 split and four pars, though his score did not factor into the team total.
Competing as an individual, junior Hayden Williamson posted an 82 (+10). He went out in 44 with five pars and came back in 38 with four pars and back-to-back birdies.
