2016-17: Placed 14th in the 100 Backstroke (58.43) and 15th in the 200 Backstroke (2:05.42) at the MAC Championship… Also finished 25th in the 200 IM (2:08.64) at MACs… Placed 17th in the 200 Backstroke (2:08.53) and 21st in the 100 Backstroke (59.61) at the ECAC Winter Championships as Arcadia placed 6th of 11 overall and was first among Division III teams… Placed ninth in the 100 Backstroke (1:01.36), 10th in the 200 Backstroke (2:15.42) and 200 Medley Relay (1:45.38), and 14th in the 200 IM (2:18.70) as Arcadia won the 2016 Diamond City Invitational.

High School: 2016 graduate of Brick Township High School, where he was coached by Meredith Hudson… Named Team MVP and was a state championship qualifier… was a top-three finisher at the county championships all four years... Was also a member of the soccer and track & field teams.

Personal: Son of Linda Gardner and Joseph Gardner (deceased)… Has three brothers, Justin, Brandon and Evan… Justin is also enrolled at Arcadia.
