2016-17: MAC Bronze Medalist in the 400 IM with a program-record time of 4:10.23… MAC Bronze Medalist as a member of the program record-setting 400 Medley Relay (3:30.75)… Second-Team All-MAC with a fourth-place finish in the 200 IM (1:57.76) and a fifth-place finish in the 200 Backstroke (1:56.42), and as a member of the fourth-place 200 Medley Relay that had a program-record time of 1:36.26… Set the program record in the 100 Backstroke (53.87) leading off the 400 Medley Relay at MACs… Recorded four individual top-seven finishes at the ECAC Winter Championships as Arcadia placed 6th of 11 overall and was first among Division III teams… Recorded four top-five finishes as Arcadia won the 2016 Diamond City Invitational.
2015-16: MAC bronze medalist in the 400 IM (4:15.39)… Earned Second-Team All-MAC honors in the 200 Backstroke (5th – 1:59.13) and as a member of the 400 Medley Relay (4th – 3:33.39)… Received All-MAC Honorable Mention in the 200 Backstroke (1:58.79), 200 IM (8th – 2:01.38) and as a member of the 200 Medley Relay (7th – 1:38.70)… Won the 400 IM (4:21.32), placed fourth in the 100 Backstroke (57.18) and 200 Backstroke (2:02.94), and was a member of three top-three relays as Arcadia won the Diamond City Invitational… Placed sixth in the 200 Backstroke (1:59.19) and 400 IM (4:19.99), and 10th in the 100 Backstroke (55.25) and 200 IM (2:01.26) as the Knights placed sixth of 11 teams at the ECAC Winter Championships… Was a member of the fifth-place 400 Medley Relay (3:39.99) and sixth-place 200 Medley Relay (1:40.48) at ECACs.
2013-14: Named Arcadia’s 2014 Male Rookie of the Year…Finished third in the 200 Backstroke (2:00.08), and set a school record in the 400 Freestyle relay with a time of 3:23.90 at the Diamond City Invitational (11/24)… Won the MAC Championship in the 400 IM with a school-record time of 4:12.85, earning First-Team All-Conference honors…Also earned Second-Team All-MAC honors in the 200 Backstroke and 800 Freestyle relay, setting school records in each at the conference championships (2/16).
High School: 2013 graduate of Mission San Jose High School… Was coached by Joe Martinez and Cory Audiat as a member of the swimming team… Served as team captain his junior and senior years… Led his team to four consecutive league championships… Recipient of the team’s Coach’s Award as a senior… Was also a member of the cross country team.
Personal: Son of Lien Tran and Tuan Lam… Has one brother, Brandon… Has one sister, Amy, who attends Santa Clara University… Traveled to London, England for his First-Year Preview Experience.
