ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's swimming team saw two school records fall as it recorded a 96-90 dual meet victory at Elizabethtown College Saturday to improve to 1-2 for the season. The Blue Jays fell to 0-2 for the season.
Freshman
Eric Lam (Freemont, Calif.) won the 200 breaststroke with a school-record time of 2:19.04, while classmate
Matthew Morano (Staten Island, N.Y.) won the 500 freestyle with a school-record time of 5:00.51. Morano also won the 50 freestyle with a time of 22.86 seconds.
Sophomore
Timothy Graham (Teaneck, N.J.) won the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:56.23 and then won the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:04.91. Junior
Alex Ganguzza (Hasbrouck Heights, N.J.) won the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:13.90.
The 200 medley relay team of Lam, Graham, Ganguzza and Morano placed first with a time of 1:45.04 to start the meet, while the 200 freestyle relay team of Collins Andrew, sophomores
Jake Lindenau (Marywood, N.J.) and William Nolter (Philadelphia, Pa.), and Ganguzza took second with a time of 1:40.72.
Andrew finished second in the 100 freestyle with a time of 55.09 seconds and took third in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:03.17. Nolter was the runner-up in the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 12:17.35 and finished third in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:55.59, while Lindenau finished third in the 100 freestyle with a time of 58.40 seconds.
The Knights will next host a dual meet against Albright College November 9 at 1 p.m. at Lennox Pool.
