Maria DeGeorge-Kosmin was a four-year starting midfielder for the women’s soccer team from 2002 to 2005, and was the second player in program history to be named four-time First-Team All-Conference selection. The Knights posted an overall record of 40-30-7 during her time as a student-athlete and made four straight trips to the postseason.

DeGeorge-Kosmin scored 10 goals with a program-record 15 assists for a school-record 35 points in 2002 on her way to being named the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year. She led the Knights to the 2005 PAC Championship and the program’s third NCAA Division III Championship Tournament berth. Her record for points in a season stood until 2013, while her single-season assist record stood until 2014.

Arcadia’s 2006 Most Valuable Senior Award recipient finished her collegiate career as the program’s all-time leading scorer with 43 goals and 37 assists for 123 points, marks that still stands day. To-date, DeGeorge-Kosmin is the only 100-point scorer in program history.

DeGeorge-Kosmin earned her bachelor’s degree in communications in 2006. She has spent five seasons on Knights’ women’s soccer coaching staff through the 2015 campaign, helping lead Arcadia to three consecutive Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) South Region Championships (2013-15) and an overall record of 66-26-12.

In addition to her role at Arcadia, the Philadelphia native has coached alongside Arcadia head coach Rick Brownell with a pair of top-tier club programs. Their Flemington Flames team was ranked as high as No. 1 in the nation in the spring of 2014. They now lead the PA Rush 98s.
