Tom McCollum '83 played four years of basketball and one year of baseball. He was one of the first men to score 1000 points (which he accomplished in just over three seasons due to an illness that kept him out most of one season) and served as Captain of the men’s basketball team all four years. Tom was selected as the Senior Male Athlete of the Year in 1983. His commitment to athletics was evident when he returned to his high school alma mater St. Joseph’s Prep to coach basketball for three years.
